All-on-4 Dental Implants in Spotsylvania, VA

If you are missing all of your teeth on one or both arches, All-on-4® dental implants may be a great treatment option for you. A strong, healthy set of teeth can give you a beautiful smile and greatly improve your quality of life.

At Smile Lake Anna, we offer All-on-4 implants in Spotsylvania, VA. Dr. Clark is highly-skilled in implant surgery, including the All-on-4 procedure. Contact our team today to learn more about the dental implant process.

What are All-on-4 implants?

All-on-4 is a special implant treatment that provides a full arch of prosthetic teeth with less invasive oral surgery than traditional dental implants. The treatment process involves using just 4 titanium posts to attach a full arch of permanent teeth. Unlike traditional dental implant procedures, All-on-4 can be completed in just one surgery.

They’re a great option for patients who have suffered from tooth loss but don’t have sufficient bone density to support the individual implants for each tooth that are required with traditional implants.

The Benefits of All-on-4 Implants

All-on-4 implants can restore your mouth and give you healthy teeth and a confident smile once again. They offer many benefits over other options like removable dentures or individual dental implants.

They are strong and durable

Unlike traditional dentures, All-on-4 implants are permanent and cannot be removed from your mouth. This means you won't have to worry about them slipping or falling out. You'll be able to eat all your favorite foods without any dietary restrictions.

They help preserve bone density and gum tissue

All-on-4 implants stimulate your jaw bone to prevent bone deterioration and preserve your facial structure.

They are long-lasting

Permanent dental implants are a permanent solution to tooth loss and are designed to last upwards of 20 years with proper care.

They are comfortable

They are custom-fitted for your mouth and won't move around, so you won't feel any discomfort to your gums. They function and feel just like natural teeth.

They are self-supporting

Since they are securely implanted into your jawbone, they don't require any adhesives or suction to stay in place. They are a full arch of replacement teeth, so they don't rely on adjacent teeth to support them like dental bridges do.

They are affordable

Traditional implants require multiple surgeries, which can be costly. All-on-4 implants are designed to give you a functional smile with only one surgery, which means you'll save money.

How do I know if I am the right candidate?

Ideal candidates for All-on-4 implants are patients who:

Are missing all or most of the teeth on their upper or lower arch

Do not smoke or use tobacco products

Have good overall health

Want an alternative to removable dentures

How the All-on-4 Dental Implant Procedure Works

The All-on-4 treatment can be completed in just one surgery, leaving you with functional teeth right away. Here’s what you can expect the entire process to look like.

  1. First, you’ll have an initial consultation with Dr. Clark to ensure that you are a good candidate for this dental procedure. He will do an oral exam and take x-rays to create a custom treatment plan to meet your needs.
  2. If any prep work needs to be done, such as tooth extractions or soft tissue grafting, we’ll do those first. If you have extensive bone loss due to badly decayed teeth or periodontal disease, you may need a bone graft to strengthen the jaw bone. If this is the case, you’ll need some healing time between the bone grafting and the All-on-4 procedure.
  3. On the day of surgery, our oral surgeon will place the implants by securing the titanium posts into the jawbone, which serve as replacement tooth roots. You may need to wear temporary dentures while your permanent replacements are made.
  4. You’ll need some time to heal, and then you’ll receive your permanent dentures in a follow-up appointment.
