If you are looking for a dentist who can provide full mouth rehabilitation in Spotsylvania, VA, Smile Lake Anna is the place to go! We offer a variety of treatments and restorative procedures to help you restore your smile.

What are All-on-4 implants?

All-on-4 is a special implant treatment that provides a full arch of prosthetic teeth with less invasive oral surgery than traditional dental implants. The treatment process involves using just 4 titanium posts to attach a full arch of permanent teeth. Unlike traditional dental implant procedures, All-on-4 can be completed in just one surgery.

They’re a great option for patients who have suffered from tooth loss but don’t have sufficient bone density to support the individual implants for each tooth that are required with traditional implants.

What Is Full Mouth Rehabilitation Treatment

A full mouth reconstruction is a comprehensive treatment plan used to repair damage caused by tooth loss. It involves replacing missing teeth with implants or other restorations such as crowns, bridges, dentures, or veneers. A complete mouth restoration also includes rebuilding the jawbone around the roots of the remaining teeth.

Full mouth reconstruction provides many benefits, including:

Reduced risk of oral health problems

If you don’t have any teeth, you are much more likely to develop gum disease, which can lead to other serious health issues.

Improved speech

Having a full set of teeth means you can speak clearly without straining your throat.

Increased self-confidence

Once you get used to your new smile, you will feel better about yourself.

Better chewing ability

When you lose all of your teeth, you may not be able to chew properly. With a full mouth reconstruction, you can eat foods that require more force than you could before losing your teeth.

Improved appearance

You won't have to worry about how others perceive you because you'll look great with your new beautiful, attractive smile.

The Process of Full Mouth Reconstruction

When you come into our office, we will take x-rays to determine if you need additional work done on your existing teeth. After this initial exam, we will discuss with you how best to proceed. Depending on the extent of the damage, we may recommend one or more of these options:

Dental implant

This option is recommended when there is little or no bone support left in the area where the implant should be placed. The procedure usually requires two visits to complete. During the first visit, we will drill holes in the jawbone to allow us to insert screws that hold the implant in place. At the second appointment, we will remove the temporary screw and replace it with an actual dental implant.

Dental Crown

This option is ideal when enough bone support is left in the affected area. In this case, we will use a special impression material to create a mold of your mouth. Then, we will make a custom crown from porcelain or another durable material.

Dentures

These removable prosthetics can be made from acrylic or metal. They are designed to fit comfortably over your remaining teeth. Dentures are often worn at night while sleeping, so they do not interfere with your quality of sleep.

Veneers

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain covering the front surfaces of teeth. They are bonded directly to the enamel of your teeth. They can be used to change the color, shape, size, or position of your teeth.

Bridges

Bridges are fixed partial dentures that span between two adjacent teeth. They are typically used when only one tooth needs to be replaced.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is performed when the nerve inside the root of a tooth becomes infected. We will clean out the infection, seal off the damaged part of the tooth, and fill the space with a filling material.
